Here are a few of the print pieces I've put together for Norman Regional Health System.
Equus was a brand new company when they came to me. They had no identity or marketing material. I worked with them to define their brand by designing their logo, website, business cards, brochures, promotional banners, etc.
Once Norman Regional Health System began purchasing physician clinics there was a need for each of these clinics to have their own website. I was asked to present a solution that was flexible enough to provide each clinic with their own look while maintaining the Norman Regional Health System brand. It was also important that this solution provide the ability to create physician clinic web sites quickly and again flexible to handle content unique to each clinic.
Creating a new site from scratch each time would be too costly in both time and money. The solution was to create a template system using our content management system. The initial set up took about as long as it would take to push out one website. Once completed, we’ve been able to push out four sites in the time it would normally take to put out one.
Not only are we able to create websites for new physician clinics in a much more timely manner, the template system can and has also allowed us to create websites for events and other Health System entities such as The Heart of a Sooner Run/Conference and the Norman Physician Hospital Organization.
Throughout my years as a designer I've been asked to design many logos for various clients. Here are a few.
Norman Regional Health System wanted to create a mobile friendly site. I worked closely with the marketing department to determine purpose and direction. Norman Regional determined they wanted a simplified version of their website for mobile users. I designed the look, feel and interface of the site then worked with our development team to implement it.
Norman Regional Health System wanted to completely redesign their website. I was brought on to work with the Health System and the development team to insure it was completed in a timely manner and met all the goals specified by the Health System. I worked closely with each service line within the Health System to make sure their content was up to date and complete. I continue to provide updates, art and interactive direction for normanregional.com.
The Health Club has been serving the Norman community for more than 20 years. They had a small page on Norman Regional Health System's website but were in need of a stand alone site to better compete with the other Fitness gym's in Norman. I was asked to take the lead in this project. I provided artistic direction and design.
UPDATE!! As of March 16th, 2016, we went live with the new Health Club website. We used the micro site environment built for our physician clinic websites. Doing this provided greater security, more control over the content, a consistent look with the rest of our websites, and a mobile friendly website.
HFFLsports.com is a website for a fantasy football league that's been in existence since 1995. I've updated the look and function of the site several times over the years. There were three purposes when planing the site. 1. Create a central point where the owners can see what's going on in the league from week to week. 2. Give each team an identity, logos, look and feel. 3. A place to host the history of the league.
In 2009 the Mormon Tabernacle Choir came to Norman Oklahoma. In preparation for the event I was asked to create a website that would provide information and the ability to purchase tickets online.
Here are a few of the digital signage pieces I've put together over the years.
Oklahoma Climate is a seasonal climate publication which delves into Oklahoma's past and provides outlooks for the future. Weather-related classroom activities and lessons available for use by educators can be found inside. The Oklahoma Climate publication is meant to be, both a planning and informational tool, the summaries contain horticulture tips from the state's leading agronomists at Oklahoma State University, along with weather safety guidelines from Oklahoma's emergency preparedness experts.
I was asked to lead the layout and design of each summary.

My wife and I have six kids. Each of our lives represent a line and those lines move in ways that are fascinating, weaving together a beautiful design that is life, thus the name 8linedesign.
My line includes design in both web and print, my family and church. On the rare occasion I have extra time, I like to climb.
